ACADEMICALLY-In the starting of the year...I have to admit, I was a slacker.I didnt really care much about my studies until i flunked like crap in the mid yr(got 26th position in class)...This proved to be a wake up call. I came to realise my terrible folly.Therefore, I tried my very best to improve....To try and attain the highest possible mark in every test in CA2. I also worked on further improving my forte subs, geog, hist, e.l, and physics(term 3).The end result?I got only 70% for my CA overall..But that wasn't enough to allow me to rest on my laurels...As i perfectly knew that i still had to prepare for the final hurdle:The EOY exams.Kind of mugged like crazy for it.Okay.I only attained a measly 4 distinctions.That sucked, seriously, owing to the astonishing fact that i failed maths pretty badly and barely passed chinese.Erm.So,I improved to the 10th position in class(no big matter,though,but all praise and thanks be to God, who've helped me pull through the papers)...I didn't do exceptionally well this year, and i have made plans to improve for the better.I've been studying for Sec3 since late October, and i've already covered 5 chapters of Physics, 4chapters of History, 1chapter each of maths, A.maths,Social studies, and2 chapters of Geography&Chemistry(not started on C.L so far...)My aim is to top the class next year, if you're wondering why i study so intensively during the hols.=)
CCA-Gold in this yr's Chinese Orchestra SYF competition in April(quite a great achievement from the bronze we had in 03').My assistant section leader post removed without my knowledge.Therefore, im currently a nobody in C.O, just an ordinary huqin player.*sigh*Used to play gaohu(more elaborative,higher pitched) , now somehow demoted back to erhu after the recent change of instrucors(c.o was revamped in july)...Probably if i just wait till next year, i might resume the post of section leader.Maybe get something like a higher post.(huqin principal)But I dont want to hanker after these posts...I see it as pointless.
Christian life-I've noticed i began to grow more in God's image after i went to the JE camp(Jesus Encounter) in March.I also experienced God's presence many times this year. I realised that God's love for us is unconditional, and through Him all things are made possible.He revealed His grace and mercy when he saved my life once this year(no kidding)...somewhere in september.I really regretted not having attended this year's LHS=RHS(Like His Son, Reflect His Son)youth camp held a couple of days ago in Desaru resort in Johor Bahru, having heard that my two friends really enjoyed themselves silly over there...and experienced God's power.
Cell group(AGAPE)-The most significant event was when MC left us this year.How i missed those cell meetings with our former CG leader.But anyway...Cell still continued very smoothly as usual, with the birthday celebrations,movie outings(Flight Plan,Just Like Heaven, Harry Potter),weekly badminton sessions(=p),study group(lol),and most recently a theme park outing(the best so far).I would like to thank God for having given me this group of friends in AGAPE...I have really appreciated it. I would call it a privilege to be in AGAPE.
To end the lengthy post up, i would like to wish everyone to enjoy their hols to the fullest, unlike me...(20 days left to the start of school...hahaha),and a blessed Christmas. XD
LAST note.
Im an angel in the IBHFC skit...0_o(I'll be home for Christmas-a Sec2 cell cluster party aiming to bring non-believers to Christ)Have many lines to remember...oops.Haven't really rehearsed the role completely.....argh. 7 more C.O sectional practices to go for this month.NOOOOOOOOO.....
